Chasing a deposit is the slowest part of winning a job. Put a deposit on the quote and your customer pays it the second they accept, on their phone, before they have a chance to go quiet on you.
Money settles into your own Stripe account. It never passes through ours.
Four steps, and only the first one is something you have to do once.
Settings, then Integrations, then Connect. If you do not have a Stripe account yet you can create one in the same step. It takes a few minutes.
Add a deposit percentage, or break the job into payment milestones that add up to the contract sum. The customer sees exactly what they are paying and when.
Accepting the quote takes the customer straight to a Stripe payment page. They pay by card and the job is funded before you order a thing.
Funds settle into your own Stripe account on your own payout schedule. The receipt and tax invoice are issued automatically, and you get notified the moment it lands.
Fund the job before you order materials. Break a build into payment milestones on the quote, then collect each one from the payments page as the work lands.
Stop fronting the cost of a job for a customer who pays late. Ask for a deposit on every quote you send, and let the ones who are serious prove it.
Every payment is charged directly on your own Stripe account. You are the merchant of record. Build Paperless is not a payment facilitator and never has your money.
Payment happens on a Stripe-hosted page. We never see or store a card number, which is also why there is nothing for us to leak.
A payment, a failure, or a disputed charge all notify you, rather than landing silently in a log file.
One flat monthly fee, added to your existing subscription invoice.
Stripe charges its own processing fee on each payment, set by Stripe and taken from the payment before it reaches you. That fee is between you and Stripe. We do not add a percentage on top and we take no cut of what you collect.
No. Payments are charged directly on your own Stripe account, so you are the merchant of record and the funds settle to you on your own Stripe payout schedule. Build Paperless is not a payment facilitator and your money never passes through our accounts.
No. If you do not have one, you can create it during the connect step in Settings, then Integrations. You will need your business details and a bank account for payouts, the same as opening any merchant account.
Card. The customer is taken to a Stripe-hosted payment page when they accept your quote, so they can pay on a phone without creating an account.
Not through Build Paperless. There is no surcharging option, deliberately. Australian rules on card surcharging have been under reform and we would rather not build a feature that quietly puts you on the wrong side of them.
$49 per month plus GST, added to your normal subscription invoice, with no cap on how much you collect. Stripe charges its own processing fee per payment, set by Stripe and deducted before the money reaches you. We take no percentage of your payments.
Yes. It is an optional module you can switch on from Settings, then Integrations, on any plan, as long as your account has a payment method on file. You can turn it off again whenever you like.
